The Pluto Stations are the most advanced long-range telescopes ever constructed. Positioned just outside our solar system, these stations represent the height of Space Corps sophistication and progress, letting us see farther into space than we ever thought possible. Despite their distance from the rest of humanity, they still transmit data regularly on nearby stellar masses as well as give an advanced warning of incoming asteroids and comets that might pose a threat to life in our solar system.
But something has gone wrong aboard Pluto Station Epsilon. Earth has not received a transmission from them in weeks and they do not reply to any attempts at communication.
Before tensions rise in the media community, the Space Corps decides to send one ship, a highly experimental prototype that can make the journey to the distant station much quicker than any conventional craft, out to the distant station to investigate why they have stopped transmitting.
What they find when they arrive not only changes our understanding of the universe, but it also finally provides an answer to one of the longest-standing questions in human history....
Eight months have passed since the incident aboard Pluto Station Epsilon. While the Security Division struggles to keep the gorier details of the encounter out of the public’s eye, the rest of the Space Corps continues its search for the Thlelolelan asteroid ship, which is believed to still be at large somewhere in the solar system. Captain Joseph Sims and Captain Sarah Brillow each have a command of their own and are desperately hoping their extended (and so far, fruitless) hunt will end soon.
But when news of an alien attack on the Martian moon Phobos starts to spread, Director Burnham recalls the Berlin survivors, and some new faces, to investigate this incident. Apparently the Thlelolelans are interested in continuing their enigmatic mission and have now set their sights directly on Earth.
With time running out, the Space Corps must scramble to find a way to stop the approaching asteroid ship before the Thlelolelans can unleash their power on our home planet....
